Knucklehead's Blog-Off: Round 1 Results

The results are in, and it looks like CardiogirlToo Many Mornings, and Musings From the Big Pink have established themselves as the early favorites.  Sadly, though, we must say goodbye to our bottom two (the rules require it, otherwise this thing would go on forever).  It is with a heavy heart and a soggy box of Kleenex that we bid a fond adieu to Quirkyloon and Candy's Daily Dandy.  It's nothing personal, ladies (at least I don't think it is, but then again, you'd probably have to ask the voting public).  I, for one, still find your blogs entertaining and I hope you've picked up a couple new readers through our Blog-Off here.

Moving right along, Round Two will commence on Sunday, January 16th.  The next category will be "Observational Humor" so you'll want to stop by to check out our remaining bloggers' interpretation of what exactly that means.  The survivors are:

The Fred Effect
Glitter Frog
If I Were God
Musings From the Big Pink
Too Many Mornings
Wrestling With Retirement

Good luck!

That's ok. Candy and I were the hottest chicks of the contest. Her because she's hot and me cuz I have tons of hot flashes a day.

It's all good!

I feel like singing a Beatles tune or something.

Maybe a Diet Dr Pepper instead.

I am surprised and disappointed by the outcome, my friend Quirky, because you're geniunely and consistently funny. And hawt, no matter what you burp. I mean, say.

Candy, I hardly knew ye, but I'm glad I met you here and I'd like to express my sincere condolences.

And, hey, did anybody notice how Cardiogirl very cleverly named her blog so that she would show up first on Knuck's list of survivors? This girl will do anything to win, I tell you.

Quirky and Candy, this does bite. As competitive as I am, I'm always bummed out when the cuts are made.

I did enjoy meeting both of you.

Now then, Mike. Is it my fault that I'm a visionary and strategic thinker? No, it is not.

And don't try changing the name of your blog to -- it's too late for that.

Hey, I'm with Quirky!

Thanks for the opportunity to represent here, Knucklehead.
Good luck to everyone else!

"Hot Chick", you think I can put that on my resume??

And so, the carnage begins. Heh. I do have to say I like how Quirky, in her farewell post, mentioned both you and farts. Not that she meant to imply that you both have similar qualities or anything, you Yankee/Laker fan.

I loved all of them and am sorry to see anyone go but there is a part of me that wants to see Mike and Cardiogirl duke it out in the ring because both of them are so competitive. This will be fun.

I bow to the awesomeness of all the writers in this competition.

So politic, Jayne. You sound like Obama. Take a stand. Unless it's against me, of course. Then remain neutral.
